Urogynecology

Our specialized physicians have extensive knowledge regarding evaluation and treatment of conditions that affect the female pelvic organs, and the muscles and connective tissue that support the organs. Some of the common problems treated include urinary incontinence or leakage, pelvic organ prolapse (dropping of the vagina, uterus, cystocele, rectocele), and overactive bladder.

Our group of board certified physicians, licensed nurse practitioners and caring staff are dedicated to offering high quality medical care to generations of women in the coastal bend and surrounding communities in an atmosphere of caring and compassion.

What to expect from your first visit

A gynecologist is a doctor who specializes in women’s reproductive health. Obstetricians care for women during their pregnancy and just after the baby is born. They also deliver babies. An ob-gyn is trained to do all of these things.

Our providers deal with some of the most important health issues in your life, including birth control, childbirth, and menopause. We also screen for cancer, treat infections, and perform surgery for pelvic organ or urinary tract problems.

On your first visit expect to be at the office for at least an hour for initializing of the electronic medical record, health history, examination, possible testing and care plan. You will need your insurance cards, picture ID and a list of all medications including, over the counter vitamins and herbs.

Filling out the medical history form in advance will help with the initial documentation of your electronic medical record. Our professional and caring staff will be asking more medical questions that will be necessary for your ongoing care and treatment.

"We support our patients having access to their health information. Beyond our Patient Portal, we also support the sharing of health information via applications that use Application Programming Interface (API), which many device applications use.

While we have enabled the necessary solutions to receive requests from API applications, we are unaware of any apps having been configured to connect to our data. Our website, cbwc.us, will be updated when we become aware of any applications that our patients can begin to use."

"I go to Dr Ommani and am pretty content with everything including her office staff. Never had any issues. Decent and straightforward experiences with the rest of the clinic like the sonographers and phlebotomists. Everyones usually friendly (if not, theyre just blah, working, but never rude). As someone with mild anxiety and whos picky about their doctor (staff included), I always feel comfortable and confident coming here. Dr. Dixon and Michelle Salazar were quick to order blood tests and MRIs/Ultrasounds that would give me the answers I was needing. Thankfully all tests were negative.
